What do you think is the charm of track and field and high jump?

When I jump well, I momentarily feel like I'm experiencing zero gravity in the air.

I really enjoy that feeling. I'd say that's the biggest charm.

Do you have your own know-how for preventing injuries during training or competitions?

During training, you can get a massage or take a rest if you are in pain.

But for the competitions, I need to be at my 100%. So I try to focus on what I need to do rather than thinking about injuries.

It's not like you don't get hurt just because you worry.

Were there any events or athletes that stood out to you at the Tokyo Olympic Games 2020?

Barshim, the winner for the men's event, is my role model.

I saw his jump as a young athlete and I remember being so impressed. I couldn't get his leap out of my head and I became a fan. I used to follow his routine too.

Barshim did well in other competitions but not didn't have much luck in the Olympics. I'd felt sorry for him for that, so I was happy to see him win the gold medal in Tokyo.

You also participated in the triple jump and relays (4x100m). Can you tell us why you participated in these events in addition to the high jump?

I participated in the relay to make good memories with my friends in middle school.

As for the triple jump, my professor recommended it to me, but I was always sort of into the triple jump. I think it's one of the best track and field events.

But I didn't actively pursue it because of the risk of injuries. I didn't even learn it properly. Which is a shame. When I get a chance next time, I'd like to train for it properly and have a go!

Tell us a memorable episode as a high jumper!

When one is completely focused, one momentarily loses memory.

I had that experience when I was in high school when I hit my best record. I don't remember what I did or how I played.

I haven't had the experience ever since.

What are your strengths andweaknesses as an athlete?

I don't care about other players during a game. I only focus on myself and what I can do.

I think that's a strength because the mentality is critical to an athlete.But when I'm nervous or unwell, I have a hard time picking myself up again.

When that happens, I find myself giving up.

I liked the K2 knee compression sleeves very much. They really do hug my knees and hold the muscles in place.

The kinesiology taping effect was very good, and I could feel that it has injury prevention benefits.

Tell us about your goals in the future.

I have a lot to improve on including my strength and techniques. I think I'm okay psychologically, so with these improvements, I should feel better about my performance.

As for the goal, I actually don't set a goal in terms of the record. I think I can set a better record if I challenge myself.

I want to be a person who constantly improves.

What do you think is the charm of track and field and high jump?

I feel like I'm momentarily in zero gravity in the airwhen I jump well. I feel really good about that. That's the biggest attraction.

Do you have your own know-how to prevent injuries during training or games?

During training, you can get a massage or rest if you are sick. But I don't want to worry about injuries because I have to show my skills 100% during the game. It's not like you don't get hurt just because you care.

Please let me know if there is a game or player that you have paid attention to during this Olympics.

The winning Qatar player is my role model. The jump form of the player I saw when I was young was really cool. I kept on thinking about it and became a fan. I used to follow the routine. The player continued to win other competitions, but failed especially in the Olympics. As a fan, I was really sad, but I was happy to win the gold medal.

He also participated in triple jump (three-time track and field jumps) and relay (4x100mR relay). Was there any background or special reason for the participation?

I participated in the relay to make memories with my friends in middle school. I participated in the triple jump because my professor recommended it, but I actually liked triple jump. I think it's one of the best track and field events. But I couldn't be active because it was an injury-prone sport. I didn't even learn it professionally. That's a shame, so if I have a chance next time, I'd like to prepare properly and participate.

Tell us a memorable episode while you were a high jumper!

When a person is completely immersed, he or she loses his or her memory momentarily. I had that experience when I was in high school, when I achieved my best record. I don't remember how I played or what I did. I haven't felt it again since then.

What are your strengths and weaknesses as a player?

I don't care about other players during the game. They only focus on me. I think it's a strength because the mental part is important to the player. But when I'm nervous or not feeling well, I can't bring up my mood again. It's a shame that it's become a habit to just let go of the game.

Please tell us your honest review after wearing wavewear!

It was good that 'Kneesleeve K2' held muscles well. I felt that the taping effect was clear and that it helped prevent injury.

Tell me about your future goals!

There are a lot of physical and technical deficiencies. I'm okay with my mental health, but I'm trying to improve because I'm disappointed in those things.Actually, I didn't set a record goal. I think I can make a better record if I go beyond my limits. I want to be a person who constantly overcomes himself.
